Kirsty from Rubber Lips PR
The newest member of Rubber Lips PR.

Earlier this week, Rubber Lips PR welcomed a new member of the team, Kirsty!

Kirsty has come on board as PR Account Executive and will be managing client accounts across Social Media and additional PR and writing requirements, from her experience in marketing.

We asked her a few questions over coffee…

So, Kirsty, what’s your story? Well, I graduated in 2012 with a degree in Business and Tourism Management from The University of Stirling. After graduation, I worked in Edinburgh managing a portfolio of luxury holiday apartments    in the city centre. It was a great way for me to get to know Edinburgh as well as put my degree to use straight away!

During university, I worked at the 5 star visitor attraction The Famous Grouse Experience in Perthshire as a tour guide. It was a great job to have, meeting people from allover the world and introducing them to the world of whisky. I also worked at university within halls of residence, acting as a welfare liaison for students and planning events throughout the year.

What drew you to Rubber Lips PR? The variety of our clients and the opportunity to learn more about so many different industries. Every day is different in PR and I look forward to keeping up with all the goings on of our clients and getting their message out there to the customers.

Your favourite thing about the new office so far? Originally I am from Alnwick in Northumberland but I moved up to Perthshire – where my family are from – as a teenager. I consider Scotland as home now, however, I’m very happy to be working in the Dunbar office and seeing the coastline everyday on the commute! A view of the sea is something I have missed whilst being in Perthshire and certainly didn’t appreciate enough when in Northumberland! I am looking forward to some slightly warmer weather and having lunch outside.

What were the last three books you read? Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (I’m still reading, so no spoilers please!); The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova; Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut

What did you have for breakfast today? Vanilla coffee and an apple.
