Homecoming Scotland, Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup; it’s a big year for Scotland and The Acarsaid wants to be ready to compete with the best.

In February 2013, following a bleak period, the hotel was taken back into the hands of owners, Ina and Sandy MacArthur who started giving the once very popular Highland hotel a complete makeover.

Several public rooms were completed during 2013 in a staged refurbishment programme, which also saw the redevelopment and launch of The Steakhouse Restaurant. The hotel was closed after New Year to allow the redesign and decoration of all the individual en-suite bedrooms and the remaining public areas.

“ We were so pleased with last year’s work and the bedroom re-design will complete the makeover” says General Manager, Richard Main, “we have many guests who return to the hotel year after year, who have long been promised improvements so we are pushing on with the work to be completed within our timescale. No small task with 19 bedrooms and a party of loyal customers visiting to stay at the end of the month. The last thing we would want is to let anyone down. We deliver on our promises! Our focus now is on winning new custom, maintaining our exceptional customer service and restoring the good name once associated with The Acarsaid.”

The management team at The Acarsaid plan to bring the hotel back to life with seasonal offers and special evenings within The Steakhouse, encouraging guests back to witness the improvements for themselves.

Heartening to see this business undergo something of a revival and the hard work shall be evident when The Acarsaid Hotel and Steakhouse re-open their doors on the 1st February and welcome guests back to their unique blend of contemporary interiors and traditional highland hospitality.
